Left Behind

No one wants to think that they could ever be left behind let alone feel as if they have been. Unfortunately, tonight I was just that. Left behind. Sort of.

As some of you know, I volunteer at Bluesfest and my shift was scheduled to be finished at 11:00 and J was supposed to pick me up at 11:15-11:30. I let the security guys know what my car should be coming by to come and get me but J never showed. I managed to get a ride at midnight to Baseline Station.

After baseline Station I managed to walk past Fallowfield Station and almost home when a police officer stopped to make sure I was alright and ended up driving me the rest of the way home.

I am writing this at 2:11 am and I am LIVID because as it turns out J was sleeping the whole time and didn't hear any of my 22, yes 22, missed calls.

How am I supposed to deal with this? Right now, I plan to give him the silent treatment but I don't know how long that will last. How am I to deal with an unreliable boyfriend? Normally he is reliable, late but reliable, this is the first time that he has never not shown up.

Have you had to deal with something like this in your relationship?

  1. People make mistakes. It sucks, but it happens. If this was a frequent event, I'd say you need to be concerned, but one missed pickup does not an unreliable boyfriend make.
