Last night on the way home Lil' Man kept asking me if he could make a deal.
We were at Liquidation World and I bought him a Transformer which I stipulated was for Christmas only and not before.
All the way home he kept trying to make deals where he could play with the minicon (a small toy in the package). It got to the point where I was very upset because it was every two minutes where he would come up with a deal.
He was so desperate to play with the minicon that he almost didn't have any toys until 2013. I informed him that 2013 was much longer than Christmas and that he would be bored for over a year with playing with this one toy.
Then it was "Can I have the mini guy if I buy you lunch?" Yeah right, a kid who has $4 to his name because he bought his Cosmic Adventures membership wants to buy me lunch. Yeah, I'll spend that in gas money. No thanks.
What kid wants to play with only toy for a whole year?
My answer to every deal was no. It is to be for Christmas only and little does he know it is already wrapped up.
Do your kids try and make deals when they really want something? If so, what do they try to make it work in their favour?
