I don't know why there is so much Heaven talk coming from Lil' Man. Especially as it happens to be on the days we are in the car and I have no tissues. To be honest, I am not sure there is anything else out there after this life. You know, sometimes I feel like there is and others I just feel like we get buried in the ground and that is all there is. Then again sometimes, I also feel like our souls move onto another life. I am so conflicted with my spiritualism.

Lil' Man: What happens to the food and garbage in Heaven?
Mom: It all gets recycled and composted. Why do you ask?
Lil' Man: Just curious. What happens if there is styrofome? It can't be recycled or composted.
Mom: There is no styrofoam in Heaven.
Lil' Man: Why not?
Mom: Because anything that gets shipped up there can't break if it falls on the clouds so there is no need for it up there.

A few minutes later the Heaven talk started again
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lil' Man: Mom? Since you know a lot about heaven, what does it look like up there?
Mom: I don't know. It is a one way street generally and people can't talk about it IF they come back for any reason. I suppose that Heaven is whatever you want it to be. No one knows for sure. Besides, I don't know a lot about Heaven I would only assume that it is a beautiful peaceful place.
Lil' Man: How old will you be in Heaven?
Mom: Oh boy. Um....depends on when you....die. I like to think that you are whatever age you liked the best. Say you pass when you are 108 but you really liked when you were 38 and you felt great and were in great shape. I'd like to think that you feel and look however you liked yourself best throughout your life.
Lil' Man: Well, how will I be able to find you up there?
Mom: No need to worry about that. I will always know what you look like. After all you are a part of me.
Lil' Man: I know THAT!!!! I mean what happens if you liked being 6 years old the best and what is how you were up there.
Mom: Oh! Well. I suppose that it would probably work something like a photograph of someone. Say I pass when you are 40 something and my best friend who I haven't seen for almost 20 years is up there, I might look like (to her) how I did when we were best friends in our last photograph together but I could be the age that I "liked" best. Do you understand what I am trying to say?
Lil' Man: I think so. So, what about babies who die, do they automatically grow up when they reach Heaven?
Mom: I have no idea. I would like to think so but to their parents when they get there, they would still see their child as a baby. Just like now matter how old you are when you die when I see you again I will always picture you as the age you are now.
Lil' Man: Why is that? You know I am going to grow up, right?
Mom: *in tears* Yes, I know but you will always be my Lil' Man. No matter how old you are. Just like I am Nanny and Papa's little girl. Papa still sees me as a 6 year old girl.
Lil' Man: Oh...

I must find my Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven and show Lil' Man the lyrics.
Do your children talk a lot about Heaven? Or something like it?
