This is the first Christmas where I have made a big family dinner with a turkey and everything else. Granted I only fed four people but I feel like I fed an army.
I've been on the kitchen since 10:30 this morning with the turkey. I had to get J to take the insides out. I still can't look at raw meet without wanting to puke.
I've done so many dishes in my small kitchen that I wish I had a bigger kitchen with more than a foot of counter space. I have so much more respect for my mother and all of the other mothers out there that do this big meal thing more than once a year. No wonder why my mom used to collapse into her seat and barely touch anything during dinner. She was exhausted.
Normal small everyday meals are simple but this was the first year I made the the dinner, along with help from J, by myself. My ex always cooked but then again we neve had turkey with home made stuffing, green bean casserole, corn and potatoes.
The time is 7:48 on the clock on my bedside table and everyone in the house is in bed with a Turkey Coma.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
