Last Spring he learned when it was over 10 degrees outside and the snow was more like slush than snow. Slushy melting snow makes for a very slow ski.
This year he got to experience a few conditions. On Monday it was -15 with the windchill. Tuesday was better but a bit windy. Wednesday was calm and fairly mild with just below zero. Thursday was even nicer with +2 and sunny with some cloudy periods. Friday saw melting snow with Spring like conditions with +4.
Monday - Lil' Man could not stop on his own and needed help from his instructor Liam.
Tuesday - He still needed help but J and I went out with him to practice a little and he didn't need any help to stop.
Wednesday - He showed a huge improvement by showing his instructor that he could stop on his own and turn.
Thursday - His friend G and him were racing down the right side of orange chair. I saw a vast improvement with his skills since he started skiing on Monday.
Friday - Was his last day and only about 6 out of 20+ kids showed up because it was supposed to rain.
Overall he went from Level A (Penquin) to Level E (Dinasour) pretty dang impressive for a kid who couldn't stop on the first day.

Lil' Man with his passing Zebra from Level D.
A big shout out to Liam and Erin for their hard work this week. I know it takes a lot out of you to ski backward while doing snowplow er...I mean pizza and trying to keep four kids in line. Literally.
